I like using this applicator sponge for trim pieces with trim sauce and leveling out classy chassis in the wheel wells. Fits good in the palm of your hand, is firm enough to keep its shape over time but still flexible enough to mold over curves and corners. Gets a nice edge where the trim meets the paint.
This is one of the most solid pads I have ever purchased. It’s very versatile and can easily handle mud tires!

I have both the blue and this black microfiber applicator pad. I used the black to apply some Clutch to my Tacoma since my blues were in the wash and it did great. Not as thick as the blue ones, but certainly did an excellent job. Way less product soaking into the pad like some other pads I've used in the past do.
We use this black applicator pad in our shop and it works great for applying dressing to all types of trim and our favorite it using it for tires! It levels out the tire dressing great and doesn't fall apart like most foam applicators! Great value!
